Our Location
Mary Mount Hotel is situated in the picturesque Borrowdale Valley close to the shore of Derwentwater. The hotel is two and half miles south of Keswick along the B5289.
Map & Directions
From Keswick take the B5289 following signs for Borrowdale. The road travels beside the lake for much of the way. There is an advance warning sign for Mary Mount, and the entrance is on the right just after a bend. There is ample parking. If you pass the big Lodore Hotel on your left, you've gone too far!
Reception
If you enter the main doors ahead of you and then turn right into the passageway, the Reception will be visible. If one of our staff is not in immediate attendance, there is a bell in the wall to the left of the desk, which will call somebody to help you.
Access From The Lake
Access to Mary Mount is also easy via the lake. Keswick Launch operates a year round service and Mary Mount is only yards from the Lodore Landing stage. Full details of Keswick Launch can be had from their website at www.keswick-launch.co.uk.
There is easy access to the landing stage across the footbridge over Lodore Beck.
Getting Around
Mary Mount is situated in 4½ acres of woodland garden skirted by Lodore Beck on the shore of Derwentwater. There are walks from the hotel round the lake and to nearby fells.
Mary Mount is ideally situated for a holiday without the car, so the driver can have a rest (and a drink!) as well. The launch service calls not only at several points round the lake but of course offers easy and very pleasant access to Keswick.
There is also a regular bus service (no. 79, the Borrowdale Bus) which passes the hotel en route from Keswick to the end of Borrowdale at Seatoller and return.
